#3 System Commissioning ONSITE

Learn how to commission a newly installed Renogy X system while you are onsite in the field

GETTING STARTED

Make sure to follow the getting started guide available here before installing or commissioning a Renogy X solar system.

RENOGY X INVERTER COMMISSIONING PROCESS:

Once the installation of the hardware and wiring is completed (this is part of a separate guide) and the power is on at the inverter (not the PV):

  1. Set the time on the inverter screen to match the local time (this might be different depending on your time zone)
  2. Plug the wifi Data Logger into the communication port of the inverter.
  3. Log in to the RENOGY X PRO mobile application (see GETTING STARTED steps if it’s the first time and you don't yet have an account)
  4. Click on the '+' sign (top right corner) to ‘Create a Plant’ by adding the relevant details (i.g. street address, name, system & plant type, cover image, etc.)

  7. Grant Admin permission to the equipment manufacturer RENOGY X to allow for remote maintenance, troubleshooting, and over-the-air (OTA) firmware update:
  8. Next, the installer should help the homeowner to:

    * The Networking step should not be required because already done by the installer in 5.a. The homeowner will need to do the Networking of the data logger with the RENOGY X app ONLY if there is a change in the local WiFi.
  9. The homeowner can now monitor the system and see the real-time energy data.

NOTE: the energy data can take a few minutes to load the first time the app is used.
